WELCOME to the BIBM Pre-induction microsite
Message from the BIBM Programme Coordinator:
Hello, my name is Dr Dawn Birch and I am the Programme Coordinator of BA (Hons) International Business and Management (BIBM). I would like to warmly welcome you to the programme and hope you will find it both enjoyable and rewarding.
The purpose of this site is to provide information on any last-minute questions that you may have about the Programme and to help you prepare for online study in the weeks leading up to the start of the programme. Please feel free to contact either me or the Programme Administrator, Sally Hobson, if you need any further information or help.
I'm keen to expand the use of social media on BIBM for communication and sharing, so if you are on LinkedIn please consider joining our group. We also have a closed Facebook group for everyone involved with the BIBM programme.
All the very best with your studies.
BIBM is a broad-based business and management course. It seeks to offer a vocationally relevant course which appeals to students. It aims to offer university qualifications to students from a diverse range of learning backgrounds, enabling students to develop personally and professionally.
This philosophy is reflected in the course structure, which provides students with a breadth of knowledge, flexibility and a wide range of learning experiences. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of knowledge and understanding as well as the development of skills and personal capabilities to act on that knowledge. Work-based learning allows student learning to be more closely matched to their personal and organisational needs, and strengthens the links between education and the application of key skills and knowledge in the workplace.
